FHEA, LLM (Aberdeen) BL (Nigeria) LLB (Ibadan)
Prior to joining City, Omasan was a Teaching Fellow at the University of Keele where he taught on the LLB and LLM programmes. Omasan's research interests lie around policy conflicts within insolvency law. He is also keen on developing scholarship centred on the use of technology in legal education. He is qualified to practice as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria and was previously in active practice, advising both individual and corporate clients on commercial law issues. He was Senior Associate with A. A. Ademidun & Co, Nigeria between 2010 and 2015 and rose to serve as its acting Head of Chambers before relocating to the United Kingdom.
Omasan obtained his LLB from the University of Ibadan in Nigeria and his LLM with Distinction from the University of Aberdeen. He is the Assistant Director of Mooting at City and currently teaches on the following Modules:
