Overview
Niamh is a speech and language therapist and researcher specialising in aphasia. Niamh worked for seven years in the NHS as a speech and language therapist culminating in a senior specialist position on the inpatient stroke rehabilitation ward at Whipps Cross Hospital.
Niamh joined City, University of London in October 2012 as a researcher in the EVA team under Professor Jane Marshall. Niamh has been managing research projects from the development of the EVA Park technology (2012) to the first functional communication intervention trial in EVA Park (2013-2015) to the EVA Park single case studies (2016) and the virtual aphasia groups project which spanned four geographical areas (2017-1019).
Niamh secured a doctoral studentship from the School of Health Sciences at City, University of London in December 2018 to investigate aphasia therapy in EVA Park from October 2019 - 2022.
