About
Overview
Mike runs the Mike Hudson Foundation, a nonprofit AI donor fund, and is an Honorary Visiting Fellow at City University. He is the founder of several innovative fintech businesses and a Covid nonprofit marketplace.
MHF helps nonprofits use AI, with a particular focus on scientific research. Mike has a personal interest in organisations which help protect biodiversity and promote conservation.
In response to the pandemic, in 2020 Mike set up TestRAMP, a nonprofit PCR testing/genomic sequencing exchange aimed at providing more efficient and cheaper access to Covid lab testing.
As a fintech entrepreneur, Mike established the pioneering exchange tech companies Cscreen and Baymarkets, which he later sold to major global stock exchanges. Currently, he manages MHA and invests in AI and new electronic marketplaces.
Mike believes that both AI and market technology can be powerful tools for social good. He believes decision makers need to better understand when to use such tools, and the potential risks associated with them.
A Foundation Fellow at St. Antony's College, University of Oxford, Mike is also a fellow of ZSL and advises its CEO on innovation. He has written and presented on AI, market structure, and derivatives theory. He lives in London with his partner Sabina and several dogs.
