About
Overview
Laura has led and taught on higher education employability and work-based learning modules for over 20 years. She joined The City Law School in 2022 to support the delivery of City’s ambitious Career Activation Plan. This sector-leading strategic plan commits to engage all undergraduate students in a career exploration and professional experience module during their time with us.
Laura teaches on and co-leads our Legal Career Enhancement and Employability Skills module and co-leads and assesses our Micro-placements module. She leads our ‘Industry Projects’ module which supports final year LLB students to work in small groups on a live brief project relevant to the legal services industry. She has recently developed and launched an innovative legal technology pathway within this module.
She values the industry engagement aspect of her role and is always busy scoping out project opportunities for students. Her interests include accessible learning design, work-integrated learning, facilitating effective group work and the use of rule-based chatbots for teaching.
