Overview
Cletus Amedu is the Programme Director for Introduction to Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiography in the School of Health and Psychological Sciences at City, University of London.
He transitioned to a career in academia in 2016 after six years of clinical practice as a Senior Radiographer and Sonographer in public and private hospitals in Lagos, Nigeria, where he initially qualified. Cletus has extensive teaching experience in Diagnostic Imaging, having worked in three different universities across three countries—University of Lagos, Nigeria, University College Dublin, Ireland, and currently in the UK.
His previous leadership roles include serving as the Departmental Coordinator for the Students' Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES), Chairperson of the Exam Committee for undergraduate examinations, and Seminar Coordinator at the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, Nigeria. Cletus has also been a module leader in Nigeria, Ireland, and the United Kingdom.
Cletus is registered with HCPC (UK), CORU (Ireland), and RRBN (Nigeria) with specialty interests in Projection Radiography, Computed Tomography, Ultrasound Imaging, Patient Centred Care and Workforce development.
