About
Overview
Charlotte is a lecturer in counselling psychology and joined City University in September 2020 as a lecturer, personal tutor and doctoral research supervisor. Charlotte leads and teachers the systemic module for year two trainee counselling psychologists. She also contributes to other doctoral modules, teaching gender, sexuality and queer theory.
Charlotte also runs the week long counselling skills workshop that runs at City University three times a year. Charlotte is a registered counselling psychologist with the HCPC and she is a registered mindfulness teacher. Charlotte is also a systemic practitioner.
Charlotte's research interests are in relation to themes on religion, gender, sexuality, physical health, mindfulness, meditation, eating disorders. Charlotte enjoys supervising qualitative methodologies, particularly Thematic Analysis and Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis.
Charlotte has worked within the NHS since 2010 in various roles. She has worked within anxiety services, mood services, eating disorder services, physical health and gender identity services. She currently works as a senior psychologist in a gender identity service.
