Student Centre

Get help with many aspects of University life. Our award-winning Student Centre is here to help you with issues relating to housing, finance, health, faith, learning support, and sport and leisure. If you're not sure who can help you, just ask us.

Funding and financial support

Need help with money matters? We can help you find sources of funding and manage your finances while you study.

Accommodation

Find out about our modern and convenient halls of residence (for undergraduate and postgraduate students) or get advice on finding the right private rented accommodation in London.

International student support

At City, we have a large number of international students, so we understand the mix of excitement and uncertainty you might feel before you arrive. You will find lots of support and help here at City, from information about immigration, visas and living in London, to English language and general study support.

Employability

City is a University with rich links to business and the professions, and we have a reputation for producing highly employable graduates. As well as offering you a world class education, we provide careers advice and workshops, student and graduate job openings, as well as volunteering and mentoring opportunities.

In addition, our work-based learning programme provides placements in industry so you can practice your knowledge and skills in the workplace. First-hand experience is a practical way to boost your employability.

Dyslexia and specific learning difficulty support

If you are a student with dyslexia or a specific learning difficulty, we have a dedicated team here to help you. As well as offering dyslexia screenings and assessments, we provide one-to-one support, advice on funding and help making special examination arrangements.

Disability support

You can get lots of help and support from our dedicated Disability Service. You can book a one-to-one session with a member of our team to discuss any of the issues you face. Our advisors can help you claim benefits, make adjustments that help you learn, suggest funding options and speak to your tutors to make sure you get the support you need.

Library

Covering five floors, our main library offers a vast array of publications. And our friendly library team is ready to help you find what you need. In addition, our online service includes 25,000 journal titles that you can access from any computer.

Health and wellbeing

Visit the Health Service for medical support, including a daily drop-in clinic, advice on special needs or disabilities, help registering with a doctor, and immunisation services. If you are concerned about something, talk to one of our trained counsellors.

IT services

Our IT team can help you access IT and audio-visual equipment. They also provide technical expertise and support when you need it, and can help you connect to City's campus-wide wireless network.
