Postgraduate courses

We have seven specialist Schools which offer high quality courses that can be tailored to suit your particular interests. They are: Cass Business School; the School of Arts; the School of Community and Health Sciences; the School of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences; the School of Informatics; the School of Social Sciences; and The City Law School.

Research disciplines

We have a strong focus on research that combine expertise from various Schools and Departments to encourage co-operation and fresh thinking. Our research activities cover a wide range of disciplines including business, law, engineering and mathematical sciences, informatics, social sciences and the arts.

World-class research

The 2008 Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) identified 15 areas of academic activity where City's research was assessed as achieving world-leading quality in terms of originality, significance and rigour.

Facilities and accommodation

We have excellent facilities for postgraduate students, including state-of-the-art equipment and high-tech teaching rooms and laboratories. At the library you will find 25,000 journal titles that you can access electronically and there is wireless internet access throughout the University.
