City University London shortlisted for THE ‘Outstanding International Strategy Award’
City's World Cities World Class (WC2) Network, founded in September 2010, has impressed the judges.
City University London has been shortlisted once again for the Times Higher Education Leadership and Management Awards. After winning the 'Outstanding Student Services' Award in 2011, City is now a candidate for the 2012 'Outstanding International Strategy' Award, given to the institution with the most innovative internationalisation policy.
It is City's World Cities World Class (WC2) Network, founded in September 2010, that has impressed the judges. Chaired by Professor Dinos Arcoumanis, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research & International), WC2 is a 12-member consortium of like-minded universities united by their world-recognised academic excellence, their location in the heart of major global cities and their shared commitment to the development of enduring strategic and academic ties.
WC2 offers significant opportunities for staff and students to collaborate with peers in partner institutions on research and educational programmes focusing on transport, global health, cultural industries and business. WC2 has recently concluded its fourth meeting in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The Times Higher Education Leadership and Management Awards will be made at a gala ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel in Park Lane, London, on 21 June.
