City University London would not exist as it does today without philanthropic giving. Even the land upon which City was originally built was donated by the Marquess of Northampton in the nineteenth century.

The tradition of giving has enabled the University to evolve into what it is today; a leading global University that is focussed on academic excellence for business and the professions.
