Writing Retreats – Online from October 2020 via MS Teams

Our popular RISES Writing Retreats will be returning from October 2020. For the Autumn term, these will be online events. There will be two MS Teams meetings hosted by Dr Ruth Windscheffel, scheduled at the start and end of the day, where you can ask questions and get general advice about the category of fellowship you are working towards. In the intervening time, you will be invited to write individually. During the day, Ruth will be on hand to comment on sections of draft work and to answer your queries by e-mail. For these events, just book for your chosen day and further details and live session invitations will be sent in due course.

We hope to run these events face-to-face from March 2021 and have provisionally booked space on campus. Booking slots for these 2021 events are offered in half-day slots to provide you with maximum flexibility. If you would like to attend for the whole of a day, simply book the consecutive sessions.

Please note that, to participate in these sessions, you need to have attended an introductory RISES workshop so that you know which category of fellowship you are aiming towards, and you need to have formally registered for the programme using the form on the RISES Moodle module.

Please note that, until our new tranche of writing retreats restart, the team remain available to offer individual advice and to look over what you have already written. If you contact us via LEaDEvents@city.ac.uk, we can forward your details onto our RISES team.
