The City Undergraduate Mature Student Bursary (for 2014/15 entry)

The City Undergraduate Mature Student Bursary is intended to provide additional financial support for mature Home/UK undergraduates ordinarily resident in England, from household incomes of up to £42,611.

Eligibility criteria

  • New Home/UK undergraduates starting in 2014/15;
  • Ordinarily resident in England;
  • In receipt of a full or partial maintenance grant from Student Finance England;
  • Aged 21 years of age or older on 1 September 2014.

Please see the terms and conditions for further details.

£1,000 per year for a maximum of three years subject to satisfactory academic progress. (Please see the terms and conditions for full details).

How to apply

You do not need to complete a separate application form. When applying for student finance through Student Finance England (SFE) please give your consent to share your financial information with City. You will then automatically be considered for a bursary (provided you meet the eligibility criteria listed above).

Notification and payment

The number of bursaries available is limited and we cannot guarantee that every student who meets the eligibility criteria will receive a bursary. Successful undergraduates will be contacted during January 2015. Cash payments will be made in two equal instalments in February and May each year.
