City, University of London welcomes applications from Nepali students. London is a great place for students from Nepal to study as it is a global city with virtually every nationality represented in some way.
The International Team make frequent trips to attend fairs, visit schools and undertake one-to-one counselling with student and parents. If we currently do not have any visits listed here, we can still assist you via email with any queries you may have.
If you have any queries regarding entry requirements or how to apply, please contact Elizabeth Rankin.
If you are thinking about studying in London, choosing City means benefitting from our central location, teaching quality and close links to business and the professions. We offer a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees and are consistently highly ranked for graduate starting salaries.
Entry requirements will vary from course to course and the information on this page is only intended to be a general guide. For individual course requirements, please refer to the course pages, or contact Elizabeth Rankin.
Qualifications from the Nepali high school system are not accepted for direct entry and so students would need to undertake a foundation programme first. Students successfully completing INTO City’s International Foundation Programme or Kaplan International College London’s Foundation Certificate at the required level will have guaranteed entry into City’s undergraduate degrees.
International qualifications such as A level and IB are accepted for direct entry, and details of grades requirements for these qualifications can be found on the course pages.
In 2021 the Mathematics curriculum for the International Baccalaureate Diploma is changing.
After careful consideration, City will accept both the Mathematics: Analysis and approaches route and the Mathematics: Applications and interpretation route as equivalent to A-Level Mathematics for all of our undergraduate courses. This means where our courses required A level Mathematics equivalency, we will accept both of the available Higher Level routes within the International Baccalaureate.
Current IB requirements will be clearly stated on the individual course pages, but please contact us if you have any questions.
Entry requirements will vary by course. For more information about specific course requirements please contact Elizabeth Rankin.
Only students who have taken four-year bachelor courses will be considered or those with a postgraduate degree from Nepal. Applicants may be advised to complete INTO City’s Graduate Diploma or Kaplan International College London’s Pre-Master’s Course, University of London in preparation for postgraduate study in the UK. Succesful completion of the Graduate Diploma or the Pre-Master's Course then offers the opportunity for guaranteed entry into City’s Masters programmes.
All students from Nepal will need to take a recognised English qualification recognised by UKBA for visa purposes, it is not possible to accept English grades in Year XII as proof of English.
English language requirements will vary from course to course and the information on this page is only intended to be a general guide. For individual course requirements, please refer to the course pages, or contact Elizabeth Rankin.
For students requiring visas, a Secure English Language Test (SELT) is usually required. Find a full list of acceptable tests at English Language qualifications.
Students who do not meet the English language requirements for their course may have the option to undertake our Pre-sessional English programme at INTO City prior to entry.
