Entry requirements

If you are thinking about studying in London, choosing City means benefitting from our central location, teaching quality and close links to business and the professions. We offer a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees and are consistently highly ranked for graduate starting salaries.

Entry requirements will vary from course to course and the information on this page is only intended to be a general guide. For individual course requirements, please refer to the course pages, or contact Emma Thomas.

Undergraduate

City will consider students who have taken a recognised foundation programme and some courses will consider students with good grades in the Brandos Atestatas for entrance to undergraduate courses. Please see the website of the school you are interested in for specific grade requirements.

Students who don't meet the entry requirements for direct entry would need to undertake a foundation programme first. Students successfully completing INTO City’s International Foundation Programme or Kaplan International College London’s Foundation Certificate at the required level will have guaranteed entry into City’s undergraduate degrees.

2021 Entry for IB students

In 2021 the Mathematics curriculum for the International Baccalaureate Diploma is changing.

After careful consideration, City will accept both the Mathematics: Analysis and approaches route and the Mathematics: Applications and interpretation route as equivalent to A-Level Mathematics for all of our undergraduate courses. This means where our courses required A level Mathematics equivalency, we will accept both of the available Higher Level routes within the International Baccalaureate.

Current IB requirements will be clearly stated on the individual course pages, but please contact us if you have any questions.

Postgraduate

Applicants will need a good Magistras or Bakalauras for entry onto a postgraduate course here at City

The MBA is a mid-career qualification which is not open to fresh graduates. Applicants must have a good first degree, a minimum of three years management level work experience and a GMAT score of 600 or above.
