The Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) is accepted for direct entry for individual course requirements, please refer to the course pages, or contact Pei Tingting.
Internationally recognised qualifications such as A-levels and IB are also accepted for direct entry, and details of grade requirements for these qualifications can be found on the course pages.
Students who don’t meet the requirements for direct entry may have the option to undertake our INTO City’s International Foundation Programme or Kaplan International College London’s Foundation Certificate, which then offers the opportunity for guaranteed entry into City’s bachelor programmes.

A-Level requirements for Clearing will be published on individual course pages on UK A-Level results day on the 15th August. These may be more flexible than the standard entry requirements, depending on the results we receive and the number of remaining spaces available.
In 2021 the Mathematics curriculum for the International Baccalaureate Diploma is changing.
After careful consideration, City will accept both the Mathematics: Analysis and approaches route and the Mathematics: Applications and interpretation route as equivalent to A-Level Mathematics for all of our undergraduate courses. This means where our courses required A level Mathematics equivalency, we will accept both of the available Higher Level routes within the International Baccalaureate.

Applicants will be considered for most postgraduate courses with a good Hong Kong bachelor’s degree from a recognised University. Entry requirements will vary by course for more information about specific course requirements please contact Pei Tingting.
Students who don’t meet the requirements for direct entry may opt to undertake a graduate preparation programme. Students successfully completing INTO City’s Graduate Diploma or Kaplan International College London’s Pre-Master’s Course at the required level will have guaranteed entry into City’s postgraduate degrees.

Pre-sessional English programme - Students who do not meet the English language requirements for their course may have the option to undertake our Pre-sessional English programme at INTO City prior to entry into the institution.
