Helpful information for international students already living in the UK who are thinking of applying to study at City, University of London. City welcomes students from all over the world and benefits from being one of the most international universities in the UK.

Who is this information for?

This information is for students who are already here in the UK but who will be applying to university under the category of overseas or international student. Perhaps you are undertaking an English Language course or a Foundation Year with one of our pathway providers. You may be sitting the A Level, IB Diploma, or an alternative accredited curriculum at an International School in the UK. If you are unsure about whether or not you fall under this category, please contact our International Team.

City in the UK

The International Team frequently attend fairs, visit schools, and undertake one-to-one counselling with student and parents. Below is an overview of the events we are attending across the UK this spring.

Open Days and Campus Tours

At an Open Day you will have the chance to explore our campus, take a tour of our facilities and accommodation, attend subject-specific talks, and get more information about studying at City. You'll also be able to visit an information area where you can talk to our academics and current students about your subject of choice.

Undergraduate Open Days

Our next Open Days will take place on:

  • Saturday 27th June 2020
  • Saturday 3rd October 2020

Registrations for these dates will open in early 2020.

Postgraduate Open Evenings

We regularly hold Postgraduate Open Evenings throughout the year for prospective students interested in starting a postgraduate course at City. The next events will take place on:

  • Wednesday 13th November 2019, 5pm-7.30pm
  • Wednesday 19th February 2020, 5pm-7.30pm
  • Wednesday 3rd June 2020, 5pm-7.30pm

Student-led Campus Tours

If you would like to visit our campus and get to know what studying at City is like from a student perspective, you are welcome to attend our student-led campus tours, held every Tuesday at 11:00 hours and Thursday at 14:00 hours.

Entry requirements and how to apply to City

Entry requirements will vary from course to course, and between different pathways providers, Colleges and Schools. For individual course requirements, please refer to the course pages, or contact us.

We offer high quality, challenging courses to applicants who demonstrate the preparation and potential to succeed.  Our admissions and selection processes aim to assess you fairly and consistently. We judge applications on individual merit, taking into account your academic achievements, relevant experience, and your motivation to undertake the course.
