Helpful information for international students already living in the UK who are thinking of applying to study at City, University of London. City welcomes students from all over the world and benefits from being one of the most international universities in the UK.

Who is this information for?

This information is for students who are already here in the UK but who will be applying to university under the category of overseas or international student. Perhaps you are undertaking an English Language course or a Foundation Year with one of our pathway providers. You may be sitting the A Level, IB Diploma, or an alternative accredited curriculum at an International School in the UK. If you are unsure about whether or not you fall under this category, please contact our International Team.

Covid-19 update

City is currently delivering teaching online and our International Recruitment Team is working from home. We are offering a range of online support for students and advisers to support you during this time:

  • International Virtual Fairs
  • Advice sessions on topics including researching universities, the UCAS process, personal statements and student finance.
  • Subject sessions delivered by academic staff and current students.
  • Online information sessions tailored for individual schools and their students - please email us for more information.

Open Days and Campus Tours

At an Open Day you will have the chance to explore our campus, take a tour of our facilities and accommodation, attend subject-specific talks, and get more information about studying at City. You'll also be able to visit an information area where you can talk to our academics and current students about your subject of choice.

Campus Tours

Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic we will not be running campus tours for the foreseeable future. If you do have an interest in attending a campus tour please email us your interest at ugenquries@city.ac.uk and we will contact you once we are able to provide tours again. However, you can explore our campus and facilities from your mobile device or computer by taking our 360 Virtual Tour.

Entry requirements will vary from course to course, and between different pathways providers, Colleges and Schools. For individual course requirements, please refer to the course pages, or contact us.

We judge applications on individual merit, taking into account your academic achievements, relevant experience, and your motivation to undertake the course.
