Study at City

Languages

During your time at City you will be able to take a language alongside your other subjects. When you apply you should indicate the language level you would like to be considered for and during your first week at City you will be asked to take a test to assess which level you should attend.

Students are able to choose to take a language as part of their Programme or in addition to their other courses.

Both semesters
Arabic - Beginners only
Mandarin - Beginners only
Russian - Beginners only
French - Beginners, Lower Intermediate, Upper Intermediate, Advanced
German - Beginners, Lower Intermediate, Upper Intermediate, Advanced
Spanish - Beginners, Lower Intermediate, Upper Intermediate, Advanced

Beginners Level

Languages are taught over the academic year.  Students taking a beginners level language in the Spring semester would be expected to already have taken the language (maybe at high school) and be comfortable with basic vocabulary and numbers.
