This short course will focus on:
-Pre-travel health risk assessment
-Travel vaccines and the principles of immunisation, including vaccination schedules, along with hot topics and sources of information pertinent to travel health
-Infectious diseases including food and water borne diseases, malaria and mosquito borne diseases plus pre and post rabies management.
The study day is delivered in line with the 2018 Royal College of Nurses Competencies in Travel Health.

Practice Nurse
This study day is suitable for qualified nurses, GP’s and Pharmacists who undertake pre-travel health consultations.
Applicants must be proficient in spoken and written English.
This one day course will combine structured and interactive teaching through lectures, group work and real life scenarios. Evidence of learning and a certificate of attendance will be given to those completing the full day. There is no formal teaching assessment. Attendees will receive a certificate of attendance.
