On completion of the module, you will be able to participate in clinical decision-making related to the care of the sick neonate utilising relevant evidence based theory learnt during the module-teaching component and self directed learning.
You will be able to apply current evidence-based theory to your practice with a focus on problem-solving and clinical scenarios. The module allows you to acquire an understanding and knowledge of the wider political and national context of neonatal healthcare and how it influences practice.

This module can be taken as part of the BSc Nursing Studies top up degree. If you wish to complete a top-up degree, please apply directly on the Nursing Studies programme webpage. If you would still like to complete this module as a CPPD student but would like to complete a top-up degree at a later date, please note that you will only be able to transfer a maximum of 30 credits which have been awarded within 5 years prior to the start date of the programme (top-up degree).
