This one day course is for practitioners who wish to review their knowledge and skills in wound healing, wound assessment and wound management for acute wounds.
Explain the biological basis of wound healing and wound infection
Demonstrate the principles and evidence base for wound assessment and wound management
Safety perform basic wound care using aseptic non-touch technique
Safely demonstrate the removal of sutures and staples
Newly Qualified Registered Nurses would like to refresh their skills and knowledge from both acute and community settings
