The Future Fund Bursaries provide financial support for undergraduate students to use towards their living costs.
The Fund is supported by the following donors: The Richard Reeve’s Foundation, Santander Universities and the Hadyn & Joanna Cunningham Trust.
The Future Fund Bursaries provide financial support for undergraduate students from low household incomes. The bursaries provide support for students’ living costs and course materials. Richard Reeves Foundation Bursaries
Eligibility criteria:
- Ordinarily resident in one of the following Boroughs- Islington, Camden, or City of London
- 25 years or under on 1 September 2022
- Household income assessed by Student Finance England (SFE) £25,000 or less
- Undergraduates on degree courses (BA, BSc, BEng/MEng).
Value:
- Between £250 and £1,000
- Paid in one instalment
- For 1 year only.
Future Fund Bursaries
Eligibility criteria
- Household income assessed by Student Finance England (SFE) £25,000 or less
- Undergraduates on degree courses (BA, BSc, BEng/MEng)
Value:
- Between £250 and £1,000
- Paid in one instalment
- For 1 year only.
Cunningham Bursary
Eligibility criteria:
- Household income assessed by Student Finance England (SFE) £20,000 or less
- Undergraduates starting Year 1 of undergraduate degree (BA, BSc, BEng/MEng) in September 2022
- Achieved grades AAA or above in A' Levels (or equivalent UK qualifications)
- Ordinarily resident in the UK.
Value:
- £4,000 per academic year for a maximum of three academic years
- Paid in three termly instalments each academic year
- 1 bursary is available for September 2022 cohort entry.
Application and Deadline
Online application forms must be submitted by 11 September 2022, 23:59.
Please note: Applicants must be means tested by Student Finance England and have this information shared with City by/on Friday 11 September 2022. Late and incomplete applications will not be accepted.
Selection and Notification
Applications will be assessed based on financial hardship (and academic merit for the Cunningham Bursary only). Therefore, please use the statement section to provide as much detail as possible about your financial circumstances.
Shortlisting will be conducted by a panel consisting of both academic and professional staff. Short-listed applicants may be required to provide further information. The panel’s decision will be final and cannot be appealed.
All applicants will be contacted by Monday 7 November 2022 with the outcome.
Awardees may be asked to attend events arranged by the Development Office.
