This scholarship is available to outstanding applicants for undergraduate degrees at City and is assessed on the basis of financial hardship and academic merit.
In order to be eligible to apply for the Cunningham Undergraduate Bursary you will need to meet the following criteria:
- Be a first year undergraduate starting Year 1 during 2021/22
- Have a household income of between £0 and £20,000 as assessed by Student Finance England by 31st October 2021
- Achieve grades AAA or above in A-levels (or equivalent UK qualifications)
- Be ordinarily resident in the UK.
Selection and notification
Applications will be assessed on the basis of financial hardship and academic merit. Shortlisting will be conducted by a panel consisting of both academic and professional staff. Short-listed applicants may be required to provide further information and/or attend an interview. The panel’s decision will be final and cannot be appealed.
All applicants will be contacted by 31st January 2022. Awardees are expected to attend the annual City Scholarship Evening starting from Spring 2022.
Application and deadline
Online application form must be submitted by 31st October 2021.
Applicants must be means tested by Student Finance England and have this information share with City by 31st October 2019. Any late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.
