Eligible courses at City for the BAFTA Scholarship Programme include master's degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Television Journalism, and undergraduate degrees in Computer Science and Games Technology.
The BAFTA UK Scholarship Programme is part of BAFTA's charitable activity to support talented people at all stages of their career in film, games and television.
Degrees at City included in the list of eligible courses are:
- MA Broadcast Journalism
- MA Television Journalism
- BSc (Hons) Computer Science with Games Technology
- MSci (Hons) Computer Science with Games Technology
The programme is open to British citizens in need of financial assistance to take eligible undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the UK.
Postgraduate scholars on the Broadcast Journalism or Television Journalism courses receive between £5,000 to £12,000 towards their annual course fees. For undergraduate scholars studying Computer Science with Games Technology, BAFTA will make a contribution towards living expenses but only those going into their second or third year of study are eligible to apply.
Scholars also receive mentoring support from a BAFTA member, winner or nominee and free access to BAFTA events around the UK.
