This highly practical freelance training course covers feature writing, pitching ideas, exploring outlets, interview skills, reviews, writing to a formula and social networking.
You will improve your reporting and research skills to identify a good story, pitch it to an editor and get it published on;one or in print and learn the skills involved in working as a freelance journalist.
Please note this is a course for those interested in freelance writing as a journalist. It is not suitable for those looking to publish short stories, novels or poetry. This course is equally not suitable for those wishing to improve their English.
Who is it for?
City’s freelance writing short course is aimed at those interested in writing as a journalist. Led by an experienced journalist and delivered over 8 weekly lessons, the course focuses on the skills required to help you get journalism style articles published in magazines, newspapers and online (blogs and digital content) from developing an initial idea right through to publication.
