.NET Core: Web Applications for the Cloud Course overview
For those with some knowledge of C# language (approximately 20 hours' tuition), this course teaches the fundamentals of web applications for the Cloud, using dotnet core, with the aim to develop Cloud applications.
Microsoft describes .NET Core as a "cross-platform, open source, and modular .NET platform for creating modern web apps, micro-services, libraries and console applications".
In the .NET Core course you will learn how to design and implement web applications using ASP.NET 6 MVC and Web API. You will also learn how to consume Web API using the latest JavaScript Frameworks.
This is an opportunity for full-stack developers to advance their knowledge on both server and client side programming languages.
Software version: Visual Studio Code.
Who is it for?
This is an advanced course, for those who already have knowledge of programming and want to create web apps using open source .NET Core and ASP.NET. It is designed for those with some knowledge of C# language (approximately 20 hours tuition). It is an ideal follow-on course for those who have completed .NET Object-oriented programming with C#.

Assessment and certificates
Informal assessment will take place through group discussion, class room activities, and question and answer sessions as guided by your tutor.
On completion of the course you will recieve a cerfiticate to say that you have completed a 10 week short course in .NET Core: Web Applications for the Cloud.
Eligibility
Successful completion of .NET Object-oriented programming with C# or knowledge of subjects therein.
English requirements
You will need a good level of spoken and written English to enrol on this course.
