This part-time evening Coaching for Business short course covers the foundations for becoming an effective coach, including building relationships, structuring a coaching session and exploring key skills used in coaching.
It is a highly interactive course, led by a successful professional coach.

Our Coaching for Business short course offers the ideal foundation for anyone looking to develop their personal growth and time management. It is aimed at anyone either managing staff, aspiring to manage or who wishes to learn the skills to become a coach.

What will I learn?
The Coaching for Business short course will cover topics including:
- The foundations for becoming an effective coach
- Coaching roles, benefits, models and applications
- Communication skills, including listening, questioning and self-management
- Relationship building, such as creating rapport and basic Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) techniques
- Effective working relationships and coaching partnerships
- Professional coaching tools to improve self-management, enhance communication and change-limiting beliefs
- How to incorporate professional coaching tools at work, at home and in a one-to-one coaching setting.
Assessment and certificates
The course will be facilitated from a coaching perspective and therefore will be both interactive and dynamic.
Informal assessment will take place through group discussion, classroom activities, and questions and answers sessions as guided by your tutor.
There is no formal assessment and you are not given any formal qualifications on completion of the course. However, if you attend 70 percent of the classes you will be awarded an official City, University of London certificate.
Eligibility
We do not ask for any qualifications to enrol in this course, only an enthusiasm for learning and a genuine interest in the subject area.
English requirements
You will need a good level of spoken and written English to enrol on this course.
