Aviation Safety Investigations Course overview
This course provides a fun, informative and highly interactive delve into safety investigation.
We challenge some of the traditional thinking about investigation and cause. In many industry investigations, the focus is often wrongly focussed on human error, rather than on the system of work and the associated contributory factors. By shifting the focus of the investigation to the system, we can minimise the likelihood of reoccurrence.
Who is it for?
Anyone wanting to improve their knowledge and skills in safety investigation to help tangibly reduce risk.
Timetable
Module teaching usually begins at 9am and finishes at 5pm each day, with time for breaks. If there is any change to these timings, you will be informed before the start of the module.
Benefits
This is safety investigation with a difference, where we move away from focussing on simplistic human error as a cause to better understand the systemic factors of why accidents really happen.
