- Recognise relevant disease risks within geographical areas and be aware of potential transmission, symptoms and treatment
- Have an appreciation of malaria and other mosquito-borne diseases and the importance of prevention including chemopropylaxis and bite-avoidance measures.
Assessment and certificates
This course combines structured and interactive teaching though lectures, group work, real life-scenarios and the opportunity to share ideas and experiences.
Immunisation updates will consist of a Public Health England animation on immunisation and immunology plus video around vaccine production in line with Public Health England’s National Minimum Standards and Core Curriculum for Immunisation training.
Evidence of learning and a certificate of attendance will be awarded to those that fully attend the course.
There is no formal assessment.
