Zulakha Asif

Civil Engineering (MEng) MEng

Zulakha is a 1st year MEng Civil Engineering student. Her favourite thing about City is the various work spaces the University offers.

What were you doing before you came to study at City?

Before I came to City, I was studying Graphic Products, Psychology and Mathematics A-levels at sixth form.

Why did you decide to apply to study at City, University of London?

I chose to study at City because of the foundation course that they offered. It was open to people who wanted to do engineering but did not study physics as an A-level.

What is your favourite thing about studying at City?

There are so many work spaces available in all parts of the University. This really does encourage students to work.

What kind of things are you involved in outside of your course?

I work as a Marketing Student Ambassador. This allows me to get involved in various things, as well as earn a bit of extra money.

What do you plan to do after you graduate?

I envision myself working for an engineering firm as a structural engineer.

What would be your top tip for our applicants?

Try your best to come and visit City. You will not know how amazing City is until you see it for yourself.
