Veronika KelemenMedia, Communication and Sociology BSc (Hons)
Student blogger from City's Department of Sociology
What course do you do?
BSc Media Studies and Sociology
Why did you choose to do it at City?
My dad attended City and always spoke so highly of the institution that it was naturally my first choice. Also, it was one of the only universities that offered a course mixing media and sociology.
Where is your home town?
Born in Budapest, lived in London until I was 10, then moved to New York.
What career goals do you hope to accomplish?
I'm not certain of what I want to do yet but it doesn't really matter to me as long as I enjoy it and make enough money to lead a comfortable lifestyle. I would also work preferably for a smaller company so I can actually make a difference. Also I do not want to sit at a desk behind a computer all day.
What's your signature dish?
MAC AND CHEESE. My mother regularly sends me packages of Easy Mac and Kraft mac'n'cheese dinners. This dish is America's most important contribution to planet Earth.
Where in the world would you like to live?
I'm very happy in London for now, but eventually I would like to split my time between New York and London. I would choose New York over anywhere and I would choose London over anywhere, but for some reason I am unable to decide between the two.
