Paul-Marie Carfantan

International Politics and Sociology BSc (Hons)
Paul-Marie Carfantan

The academic team at City gave me the opportunity to explore cutting-edge and challenging subjects.

Why did you choose to study at City, University of London?

City, University of London was my first choice coming to the UK, and it offered me the opportunity to combine studying International Politics with Sociology. I am just about to graduate and reflecting on my stay at City, I am more than happy I made the choice I did.

How has City, University of London helped you?

The academic team gave me the opportunity to explore cutting-edge and challenging subjects through combining Politics with Sociology. I must confess it was pretty demanding at times, academically-speaking, yet completely worth it. For example, being able to go abroad during my second year and explore radically different cultures and the various approaches to Politics and Sociology was also key to my academic success; insofar as I was able to reinvest this experience in my third year. Finally, the personalised support that I received, especially during my first and third years, was highly valuable.

What do you plan to do after you graduate?

I would like to continue with postgraduate study, and I will always remember City, University of London. The International Politics and Sociology stream was an eye opener that propelled me to build sharp theoretical and practical skills.
