Karthikeyan Mahalingam

Undergraduate and foundation BSc (Hons)

The Career Adviser's feedback was genuine and honest. This really helped me to perform on the assessment day

Graduation date: 2015

What type of careers guidance did you come in for?

CV and Cover Letter checks, Telephone Interview, Mock Assessment Center, Face to Face Interview.

Do you think the careers guidance or mock interview helped you with your application / interview?

Yes, the Careers Services did help me very thoroughly. It was my first ever time in an interview and the assessment center and I went to the Careers Service for advise. The advisers spent quality time with me and pointed out what I had to improve and what I did well. This really helped me to perform on the day as the feedback was genuine and honest.

What advice do you have for other students?

I would advise students to use the services offered by Careers Advice. As practice makes perfect, it is always a good idea to schedule an interview or sign up for a mock assessment center. It is good to know how the advisers assess you before you are formally assessed. Preparation is the key to success.

What do you want to do after university?

I would like to work as a financial auditor for one of the Big 4 accounting firms after I graduate.
