Kaily Fox

Kaily Fox was awarded a Worshipful Company of Leathersellers Scholarship at the Annual Scholarships, Prizes and Bursaries Evening, January 2013.

Why were you awarded the scholarship?

I think it was because I achieved a good overall grade in my foundation year.

How has the scholarship helped you?

It has been a relief to not have to worry about the cost of buying books and materials. It also looks great on the CV to have received an award; in today's challenging employment market, it's important to stand out in any way possible.

What do you enjoy most about your course?

Feeling that I'm working towards becoming a professional in a constructive industry. I'm also currently on a sandwich year placement, which has been a lot of fun and really useful in terms of understanding the practical application of some of the theory I've been learning.

What do you plan to do after you graduate?

Work towards becoming a chartered engineer. After that, maybe work abroad.
