Optometry BSc (Hons)

BSc (Hons) Optometry

Q. Why did you choose to study at City, University of London?
R. The university offered the course of my choice whilst I could still be relatively close to home. Furthermore the wide range of societies and social events offered appealed to me greatly.

Q. What do you enjoy most about your course?
R. I enjoy the wide variety of modules we have which cover aspects of all 3 core sciences and mathematics.

Q. What has been your favourite module and why?
R. Biology, although it is a very tough module I found myself to enjoy the lab sessions and the depth in which they went into. In particular I was fond of the dissections and looking at models of the brain and eye.

Q. What has been the highlight of your course so far?
R. The highlight of my course this year has been meeting new people and making a variety of new friends. Academically I enjoyed the optics lab sessions as they enhanced my understanding of the course.

Q. What do you plan to do after you graduate?
R. I have not thought it through very much, but so far I have 2 options: my preferred option would be to carry on studying and do a PhD, Andy second choice would be to go on and work for 5-6 years and then open up a practice within London.
