Jodie King

Midwifery BSc (Hons)

I am a first year Midwifery student who would almost certainly have not been able to fund my studies without the City Future Fund Scholarship.

What does having been awarded the scholarship mean to you?

I am a first year Midwifery student who would almost certainly have not been able to fund my studies without the City Future Fund Scholarship.

How has it helped you?

My schedule is demanding in the way that I must travel to various placements and theory sessions and my time table is also a great deal longer than most other students. Therefore, the scholarship enables me to stay in London for the full 45 weeks of my course and to be able to obtain the necessary learning resources. I am the first in my family to go to university and I very much intend to work hard, do my best to learn and achieve as much as possible throughout my studies, in order to gain my Midwifery degree.

I would like to thank all City Future Fund donors for their kind support and sincerely express my gratitude. Their generous sponsorship has allowed me to commence my university degree. I am extremely grateful for the City Future Fund scholarship, as it has made a huge difference to my studies here at City, University of London.
