I wanted the opportunity to study in London and City University London is a global leading institution.

1.   What is your course of study?

I am currently in my final year studying Mathematics and Finance.

2.   Why did you choose to study at City, University of London?

I wanted the opportunity to study in London and City, University of London is a global leading institution. It has a good record of academic excellence and its graduates' have a remarkable employment prospect.

3.   What do you enjoy most about your course?

The enthusiastic professors that have been with us for the past 3 years, they are very passionate about their teaching and ultimately it has a good impact on our learning. The Mathematics department offers 4 courses and because of this we are given a diverse range of elective modules. It allows each one of us to select modules that are relevant or beneficial for our future. We also get to study alongside talented individuals.

4.   What has been your favourite module and why?

My favourite module would have to be Financial and Investment Mathematics. It was a two year compulsory module which proved to be very challenging at times, but the reward was also very satisfying. It was relevant to my interest in financial maths and the lectures were very stimulating.

5.   What has been a highlight of your course so far?

Throughout my course, some way or another, what we have learnt has been applicable to the real world. We have had multiple guest speakers sharing their experiences and knowledge about their daily life at JP Morgan for example. We are constantly learning concepts that are being used every day by financial experts and it is inspiring. We also had a day tour to one of England's largest financial institution, Lloyds Bank.

6.   What do you plan to do after you graduate?

I would like to get a job where I can apply the skill sets and knowledge I have achieved during my time at university. I am open to opportunities and eager to learn.
