Chijioke’s Research at City Law School investigates the regulation of Sovereign Wealth Funds from an economic governance angle.

PhD Thesis Title: The Transnational Governance of Sovereign Wealth Funds through the Santiago Principles and the International Forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds.

Supervisors: Professor David Collins and Professor Daniel Wilsher


Chijioke is a Doctoral Researcher and GTA at City Law School, City University London. He is also a Visiting Lecturer at the Department of Finance and Law at the University of Bedfordshire. His professional experience includes a Brief Spell at the Financial Markets Law Committee of the Bank of England where he worked as Legal Intern.  He has also worked in Procurement with BMI Blackheath, London and interned in areas of Financial Regulation at the reputable Institute of Economic Affairs, London. He is also a Research Affiliate with Sovereignet, a group of elite Researchers on Sovereign Wealth funds at the Tuft Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy in the United States. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB Hons Second Class Upper) from the University of Wales, Cardiff and a Master of Laws in International Corporate Governance, Financial Regulation and Economic Law from the University of London (Distinction).
