'City is known for its emphasis on professionalism, innovation and continued improvement to enhance student satisfaction and university experience.'

Why did you choose to study at City, University of London?

City is known for its emphasis on professionalism, innovation and continuous improvement to enhance student satisfaction and university experience as a whole. Predominantly, I chose City because of the eligibility for international students to gain invaluable working experience for up to 6 months while studying. The PLU and career service constantly seek out new job opportunities for students and provide career advice to ensure students are ready to take on challenges in the real world.

What do you enjoy most about your course?

The combination of practical sessions, seminars and lectures, enabling students to be practically ready and theoretically robust. The MSc Business Systems Analysis is a tailored course with industry knowledge capabilities, I am much more productive at work as an intern with the current skills I gained while studying my chosen course.

What has been your favourite module and why?

Business re-engineering with ERP solutions and Practical business consultantancy were both modules which are in high demand in the business environment. I currently secured a Business Consultant role in a consultancy firm as a result of what I had learnt in practical business systems consultancy. Business re-engineering with ERP systems prepared me with the fundamental knowledge of ERP systems. I’m currently doing an industry recognised SAP certification at a substantial discount due to the partnership with SAP, thanks to City's mission to support students in their career aspirations.

What has been the highlight of your course so far?

One major highlight during my time at City would be the friends I made across diverse cultures. Having students from all over the world with diverse background and skills expanded my knowledge and network.

Where was your internship and how was the experience?

PostShift Consultancy. PostShift's vision aligns with my career aspiration of digital transformation and building business systems that change organisation processes and optimise efficiency. It offers a very relaxed culture and an 'open door' practice with senior managers and lead consultant.

What do you plan to do after you graduate?

A holiday in America while continuing to search for a permanent position. With the experience I gained during my internship , I strongly believe I would fit in perfectly despite the fierce competitive job market.
