Professor Victoria Joffe
International, Academic Director
I am a specialist speech and language therapist and professor in the Enhancement of Child and Adolescent Language and Learning in the Division of Language and Communication Sciences, in the School of Health Sciences. I have been working on expanding international opportunities and collaborations for staff and students in the School of Health Sciences, in my role as Associate Dean, International , for the School. Recently, I have taken on a new part time position as Academic Director, International, within the IPaD team, to support and facilitate internationalisation across the University.
In this role, I work closely with the Vice President, International and Associate Deans of the Schools, to oversee and support the development and implementation of City’s Internationalisation Strategy. A key focus of my work is leading on the Internationalisation at Home strategic area, whereby, working closely with Ina Wang, we provide opportunities for staff to share, learn about and celebrate global perspectives, as well as to share expertise and provide support and training in embedding internationalisation in learning and teaching across the Schools. Within this programme of work, and strategic objective, is our commitment that every City student will experience global and international perspectives during their time at the University. I look forward to working with staff in developing and expanding new opportunities for internationalisation, and welcome any questions and input from staff and students.
