Upon finishing his project, Tom slowly wound his way down the Earth to Sydney, Australia where he wanted to continue working in the not-for-profit sector and entered the world of Widening Participation at the University of New South Wales, with a chance to aid students from disadvantaged backgrounds realise their own potential and seriously consider that going to university could be for them. After working with a truly remarkable set of students from Kindergarten up to year 12, Tom knew that he wanted to continue in a similar role back in the UK.
Tom joined City, University of London in 2017 as a Widening Participation Project Officer and will be responsible for Masterclasses and secondary school Visit Days, and is relishing the chance to work with students across London to realise their potential.
