"My favourite workout is a HiiT session, not because I enjoy it but because it has an amazing effect on my body."
Leisure Supervisor Fitness.
How did you get involved in the health and fitness industry?
My health and fitness career stemmed from my background in musical theatre. I worked for ten years in the theatre district of London’s West End where I had the privilege of working on several well-known musicals.
What is your specialist area?
I sustained a lower back injury on my final show prompting me to seek advice from a specialist. With a lot of guidance and physiotherapy I overcame my injury but it sparked an urge to want to help other lower back sufferers. In 2012 I re-trained as a REPS Level 4 Personal Trainer, specialising in lower back problems.
How many days do you workout?
I work out 3 to 4 days a week, not including the daily bicycle commute.
How do you stay motivated?
A decent playlist and plenty of sleep keeps me motivated. My favourite workout is a HiiT session, not because I enjoy it but because it has an amazing effect on my body.
What is your favourite indulgence?
My favourite indulgence is red wine or a decent brand ice cream.
What is your favourite music track to workout to?
I’ve been listening to a lot of Northern Soul lately. Gloria Jones’ Tainted Love hits the spot.
