Widening Participation Projects Officer

Working from both City, University of London and City of London Academy Islington, Lauren is responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality outreach activities effectively support the pupil cohort.

Her role within the Academy includes: coordinating academic input; monitoring pupil progression; coordinating the successful delivery of the maths tutoring project for COLA-I; recruiting, training and managing  City student tutors; monitoring progress and attendance of both pupils and tutors; tracking against the assigned budget and producing a project evaluation and annual report. She is also currently working to expand the tutoring programme to include the successful delivery of an English tutoring and reading scheme at  COLA-I.

Whilst at City Lauren is responsible for planning and delivering the Snapshot 6th Form programme. This is a scheme designed to provide target students with an insight into higher education. Students will engage in a variety of academic and skills based workshops as well as enrichment activities.
