Irene Baldoni

'At City I was supported by staff, and my work was evaluated by members of the industry who offered invaluable career advice.'

Gregory and Company Authors' Agents

We are known as the foremost agents for crime and thrillers although we handle many types of fiction and our interests are wide-ranging. We do also on occasion handle general non-fiction. We do not represent science fiction, poetry, academic or children’s books, original plays/scripts for TV or film

I completed the MA Course in Publishing at City in 2013/2014. Since the very beginning, I managed to take full advantage of the wide net of relations built by MaryAnn over the years. I carried out group projects that were evaluated by outstanding members of the industry, received their invaluable career advice and completed 7 placements in independent as well as corporate publishing houses. No matter where I was or in what department, I found that I could rely on the support of City's former students and staff. As a result, I got my first job in publishing months before the end of the course, which is exactly what I wanted to achieve when I applied for the MA.
