I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for the quality education I received during my three years at City, University of London.

From our four field offices in Mali, NRC strives to meet the basic needs of people affected by violence and displacement. We provide education, shelter, food security, and give people legal assistance. Since 2016, we also have a dedicated emergency response mechanism.

"I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for the quality education I received during my three years at City University. When I look back at the time spent with the incredibly talented pool of professors that I had the chance to study with, I realize that, among many other things, I owe them the great analytical skills and the critical mindset that led me first to gain a scholarship to further pursue my studies at the prestigious Paris School of International Affairs (Sciences Po, Paris), and subsequently to land a job with a United Nations humanitarian agency.

What I have valued the most of my BSc in International Politics was the constant effort to go beyond a mainstreaming understanding of world affairs, the relentless search for independent outlooks and points of view, and the attempt to always relate theory with contemporary affairs. The final touch to this perfect recipe was the incredibly varied cohort of students and classmates: for the first time in my life, I was confronted with people with the most different backgrounds, this being, in itself, a life changing experience.

Last but not least, at City I always felt not only challenged as a student, but most of all valued as a individual. To this day, more than five years after I graduated, I look back at those years with a great satisfaction, and a bit of nostalgia."
