Why did you decide to study at City, University of London?

After considering the MSc courses offered in Data Science in the UK, the City course appeared to be the most comprehensive. In particular the core modules contained a very strong foundation in data science, while the optional modules pushed towards the forefront of the subject. In addition there appeared to be a strong emphasis on the commercial application of the knowledge.

What was your favourite aspect of your course?

I enjoyed the breadth and depth of the coursework we were offered. I decided to take this further and complete my dissertation while interning at a data science company. The skills I learnt while completing my dissertation were extremely useful in acquiring a job in the field

What was your favourite module and why?

My favourite module was neural computing. I was astonished by the range of problems that neural networks could be applied to with significant success. Since graduating I have had the opportunity to implement them to solve real-world problems.
