Tara was called to the Bar in 2007. She completed a common law pupillage in 2008, specialising in both criminal and family law for approximately 6 years before being invited to practise as Employed Counsel for family law solicitor firms in Sussex. Tara is a highly experienced family law practitioner and having acquired authority to conduct litigation, she was therefore responsible for managing her own significant private and public family law caseload in addition to full representation at Court. She continues to practise on the Southern Circuit as a tenant at 1 Crown Office Row Chambers, specialising in complex Children Act proceedings with a particular emphasis on representation of children through their Children’s Guardian.
Tara teaches Civil Litigation, Dispute Resolution, Drafting Skills, Advocacy and Fraud and Economic Crime on the BVS. She is a member of the Pupillage Advisory Service, assisting students with both mock pupillage interviews and application guidance and support.
