Romilly joined The City Law School as a Bar Professional Training Course lecturer in 2010. She teaches Criminal Evidence (for which she is the deputy module coordinator), Professional Ethics, Criminal Advocacy and Fraud and Financial Crime. Romilly is also the course co-ordinator of the Free Representation Unit (Social Security) option, a clinical module that enables students to represent clients in social welfare appeals.
Having served on her chambers' pupillage committee, Romilly provides pupillage application support and interview advice for students as part of the BPTC Pupillage Advisory Team.
Romilly was called to the Bar in 2005. Before joining The City Law School, Romilly was a member of St Ive's Chambers and developed a thriving practice on the Midland Circuit. Romilly's practice included all aspects of Criminal Law, with particular emphasis on regulatory and environmental offences. Romilly also developed expertise in Family Law; she was regularly instructed on behalf of local authorities, parents and children to conduct public and private law proceedings.
