Overview
Romilly joined The City Law School in 2010. She currently teaches on the . Romilly teaches Criminal Litigation, Evidence and Sentencing (for which she is one of the module coordinators), Professional Ethics, Criminal Advocacy, Conference Skills and Fraud and Financial Crime. Romilly is also the course co-ordinator of the Free Representation Unit (Social Security) elective, a clinical module that enables students to represent clients in social welfare appeals, and the lead for the FRU Social Security project on the BVS CLE LLM.
Having served on her chambers' pupillage committee, Romilly provides pupillage application support and interview advice for students as part of the BVS Pupillage Advisory Team.
Romilly was called to the Bar in 2005. Before joining The City Law School, Romilly was a member of St Ive's Chambers and developed a thriving practice on the Midland Circuit. Romilly's practice included all aspects of Criminal Law, with particular emphasis on regulatory and environmental offences. Romilly also developed expertise in Family Law; she was regularly instructed on behalf of local authorities, parents and children to conduct public and private law proceedings.
