Pelin is a PhD student at City University London researching prevalence of postnatal Post-traumatic Stress Disorder in Turkey.
In 2010, Pelin completed a BSC in Psychological Counselling at Bogazici University in Turkey where she was awarded with high honor degree (GPA: 3.65/4.00). She was then employed as a School Counsellor.
Thanks to a scholarship from the Ministry of Turkish Education, Pelin studied Foundations of Clinical Psychology and Mental Health at the University of Sussex. She submitted her dissertation in August 2013
Pelin joined City University London in October 2013 where she is currently undertaking a PhD researching prevalence of postnatal Post-traumatic Stress Disorder in Turkey.

Before starting her PhD at City, Pelin studied pathological worrying and the effectiveness of Mood-As-Input Hypothesis based intervention for chronic worriers at the University of Sussex.
Pelin's current research aims to determine prevalence of birth-related Post-traumatic Stress Disorder in Turkey and investigate the effect of social support on the development of postnatal Post-traumatic Stress Disorder.
