Dr Lucy Floyd
I joined City as a Senior Lecturer in 2019 and have previously held academic posts at the University of Westminster and Oxford Brookes University. I have experience of teaching across a range of undergraduate and postgraduate (both academic and vocational) courses.
I hold a PhD from Keele University and an MA from the University of Oxford. Before my career in higher education began in 2001 I practised as a solicitor, specialising in contentious commercial work.
My research interests relate to legal education and the legal profession; my PhD thesis investigated the role played by vocational legal education in developing the professional identity of female students.
I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and hold a PCTHE from Oxford Brookes University.
