I was awarded a PhD in Drama for my thesis Regenerating the Live: The Archive as the Genesis of a Performance Practice. My areas of interest are performance archives and performance documentation; audience participation; digital culture; online and virtual theatres; site-specific performance; museology and creative curating.

I have been teaching in Higher Education for over eight years at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The institutions I have taught at include University of East London, Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance, University of Nottingham, and the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

I have published articles and book reviews in several peer reviewed academic journals.

As an independent artist-scholar I have undertaken projects in Greenland, Brazil and Finland. I am also an experienced workshop leader in psychophysical actor training and site-responsive performance.

I am also a close collaborator of the theatre and digital arts company ZU-UK, with whom I research through practice models of interdisciplinary collaboration and technology in performance.

I am co-investigator on the DocPerform project, which I founded with Dr Lyn Robinson in 2016. DocPerform investigates the ways performance can be considered as a document and, conversely, the performativity of information.

I was appointed Artist in Residence & Lecturer in Library and Information Science in October 2017 to develop an interdisciplinary perspective into documents, documentation, digital culture and curation.
